Speech Therapy

Build confidence through communication

Speech therapy helps children improve clarity and confidence so they can connect at home, in school, and with peers. At Michiana Speech Therapy, we specialize in articulation and speech sound disorders, language delays, fluency challenges, and alternative communication (AAC).

What is speech therapy

Speech therapy helps children improve clarity, articulation, and overall communication skills. At Michiana Speech Therapy, we support kids in expressing themselves more confidently at home, in school, and with friends.

Common challenges we support

  • Difficulty making certain sounds (/s, l, r, sh, ch, j/)

  • Speech that is hard to understand

  • Delayed first words or short sentences

  • Stuttering or other fluency issues

  • Reliance on gestures or frustration when communicating

Goals of therapy

We use evidence-based strategies to improve speech clarity, strengthen oral motor function, and build carryover into everyday life. Therapy plans are personalized to your child’s needs, helping them grow confidence and independence in communication.

Why it matters

Clear communication is the foundation of learning, friendships, and connection. When children feel understood, they thrive in every part of life.
